I ADORE bridal photos. While I photograph a lot of models in bridal gowns, I also love getting to photograph real brides both on their wedding day or during a bridal session.
(P.S. I HIGHLY recommend doing a bridal session….it’s a great opportunity to get to wear your gown & accessories with your hair & makeup done so that you’ll see how everything will work together….and you can even have photos to display at the reception!)
There are a couple things that I like to keep in mind when I’m creating these images.
One is movement. So many of my bridal photos include some type of movement….whether it be the veil flying, the bride twirling (which almost always causes lots of genuine smiles!), or the train being thrown (which so often makes the bride look like an elegant swan!) Movement gives life to an image & makes it so much more dynamic.
Another thing that I consider is romance & elegance. Creating photos that look like they came out of a fairytale, and you’re the princess bride. Back in centuries past, people sat for hours getting their portraits painted. That’s the kind of quality & feeling I’m aiming for when I photograph you.
Here are some of my favorite bridal photos of 2017.
