On the drive up, the sky was looking a bit scary & gray, so I had truly hoped that once we had gone through the mountains, that the sky would finally clear. Sure enough, it did!! – I don’t know why, but each time I have gone to Sam’s Throne, it has been rainy & dark, but as soon as I get up to the overlook, the weather is perfect. PLUS we had a crazy ass snow storm just 1 week before their wedding!! WHAT!!!!
The skies cleared & just the right amount of wind made this day. I don’t know what it is about wind, but it honestly adds a beautiful element of romance to images. – I mean LOOK at these !! Sarah’s wind kissed hair.. ugh! so freakin perfect!!!!
There are so many locations on the drive to Sam’s Throne that are perfect for some “abandoned” location portraits.
Not going to lie, but I am so thankful to live in an area with so much beauty. This location is perfect year round!!
